Streamer and Andrew Tate supporter Adin Ross says is threatening to silence him with an indefinite ban.
is a rite of passage for any moderately popular streamer. Although the reasons vary, rarely has this prompted any permanent departures, with the bans usually being lifted after a few days.
, however, who recently saw himself temporarily banned from Twitch for the seventh time, has grown sick of it and has decided to start streaming via a new rival platform called Kick.
The reasons behind that ban were never made clear, but Ross is alleging that Twitch threatened to ban him indefinitely if he continues to create controversial content.
Ross, who got his start with streams of games like and the NBA 2K titles, claims this is Twitch attempting to silence him, adding that while the call from a senior Twitch executive spooked him, he doesn’t want to change his content output or who he is.
While it doesn’t seem like he plans to leave Twitch completely just yet, he’s already streamed once on Kick, since it provides him more freedom to do what he wants.
‘I’m going to be doing Omegle, watching live sports, watching movies, prank phone calls, we could literally watch porn together,’ he explained to his audience.
‘There is no Terms of Service over there. You guys can say whatever you want in my chat. Nobody can get f***ing banned.’
Twitch is certainly not above banning people for seemingly ridiculous reasons. not too long ago for including a link to ‘spicy content’ in her profile. Said link just leads to a photo of jalapeño peppers, suggesting Twitch didn’t actually check and just assumed it was for inappropriate content.
However, if it is directly contacting Ross about a permanent ban, then it must not want to be associated with or promote his content.
Ross has become an increasingly controversial figure, having interviewed and come to the defence of – himself a controversial online figure, who was arrested on suspicion of human trafficking. Ross even directly tweeted at President Joe Biden, asking him to pardon Tate.
Also, despite his complaints of Twitch’s threats to ban him, he once called on the platform to ban any and all hot tub streams, much like it did , saying they ‘.’
