fans are keeping hope alive over performance after Alex Turner’s girlfriend Louise Verneuil teased a big clue online.

The rock band announced on Monday (June 19) that they were due to Alex Turner’s ill health.

The frontman is recovering from acute laryngitis – a nightmare for any singer but which couldn’t have come at a worse time, as they’re  on Friday (June 23).

Fans are yet to receive an update, with their hotly-anticipated performance at Worthy Farm just one day away.

However, french songwriter Louise shared a subtle sign that the I Wanna Be Yours group could be taking to the stage.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a close-up picture of her Glasto attire and simply captioned the pic: ‘Go Glasto.’

Hmmm.

Festival co-organiser Emily Eavis recently told reporters she believed the Arctic Monkeys would still be despite their lead star being forced to rest.

‘I think we are going to be all right,’ she said confidently.

‘They’ve cancelled that, he’s recovering.

‘I’m sure we’re going to be all right.’

She added: ‘We’ve got a couple of backup plans if not. We’ve always got backup plans for everything.’

Emily didn’t reveal what Plan B could be, although  to replace them if needed, while Harry Styles, Coldplay, and Blur are also in the mix.

Issuing a statement to their social media followers this week, the Arctic Monkeys offered their apologies for the disruption.

‘We are extremely sorry to announce the cancellation of Arctic Monkeys’ show at Marlay Park in Dublin tomorrow,’ they wrote.

‘Alex is suffering from acute laryngitis and following medical advice, has been ordered to rest.

‘Alex and the band apologise for the huge disappointment this will inevitably cause to all their Irish fans.’

‘Full refunds will be credited back to the ticket purchaser’s account,’ they concluded.
