Alicia Keys’ son Genesis, 8, becomes her security guard on stage to stop crowd throwing objects

’ son, Genesis, went above and beyond to protect his mom from any excitable fans, making sure she came to no harm on stage.

Over the last few weeks, stars have been pelted with all sorts during performances, with , Louis Tomlinson, and .

was filmed after bracelets were launched in her direction, while when someone threw a beer on her over the weekend.

Having absolutely none of it, Alicia’s son – who she shares with partner Swizz Beatz – stood guard by her piano, making sure nothing surprising came her way.

Taking to Instagram, Swizz shared snaps of the adorable moment with followers, showing the eight-year-old in a bomber jacket and crocs, ready to jump into action.

‘My boy said I’m not playing no games on moms stage,’ he wrote alongside the upload. 

‘He a real serious one. Thank you Gen we love you and your protection.

‘He didn’t care she was live on stage.’

On top of one photo, the producer added: ‘He heard how people been acting at shows lately. My boy serious in real life.’

Fans were living for Genesis’ protective ways and flooded the comments below with praise for his efforts.

‘When the crocs in sport mode you know it’s serious business,’ one joked.

An Instagram user replied: ‘Gen said, “nobody will be throwing anything up here while I’m on patrol. It’s not happening.”’

A commenter said: ‘The stance and all has me screaming. He really didn’t come to play.’

As a follow added: ‘LMAOOOO I LOVE THIS ENERGY. Raising a true king for real though!!’

The youngster is right to be protective as some of the biggest names in the world have fallen victim to the bizarre new trend during recent performances.

‘Is it for attention? Is it just over-excitement and just wanting to get something to the artist? I think it oversteps the mark in our opinion. 

‘Is it for a viral moment? It used to mean that people hated you. If you got bottles or things thrown at you. But now it’s like a sign of “we love you”.
