and are looking forward to their return on Monday after spoke out against ‘nonsense’ rumours about the co-stars.
It was recently claimed that the presenting co-stars, who have been fronting the show together since 2020, had developed a ‘strained’ relationship after amid his exit.
However, the broadcaster was quick to rubbish the claims, with a spokesperson saying: ‘This is absolute nonsense. There’s no tension between Alison and Dermot, quite the opposite.’
They continued: ‘Alison, Dermot and Holly are all valued members of the This Morning family and all enjoy working together on the show, as well as having friendships outside of the show.’
Alison, 48, and Dermot, 50, haven’t addressed the rumours directly, but both shared near-identical posts on their Instagram Stories.
The pair reshared a post that had been uploaded by This Morning on Instagram, showing Alison with her arm around Dermot’s shoulder, and the latter holding the former’s hand.
The caption from the programme read: ‘Join @alisonhammond55 and @dermotoleary this week for some summer fun, including @johntorodecooks cooking up a comfort food classic, and a chat with @officialdannydyer in the studio on Monday! ✨.’
Dermot simply reposted the picture on his Story, while Alison added a ‘Yay’ gif to really emphasise her excitement for Monday’s instalment.
Commenting on the This Morning post, one fan wrote: ‘I love it when Alison and Dermot are on they are brilliant together.’
‘Brilliant way to begin the week ??,’ someone else said.
Dermot recently showered Alison with praise while working together on This Morning over the summer, writing on social media: ‘Been a privilege to co-host TM with Alison for you all this week, and on behalf of an incredible crew and team, thanks for all the love!’
Later this year, Alison is set to make her debut as one of the , alongside Noel Fielding.
Following the announcement of her new role, she admitted: ‘I’ll be honest with you, I’m just in it for the cake,’ while also telling Dermot on This Morning: ‘I am very excited.’
