Amanda Bynes’ lawyer ‘won’t rule out’ return to acting after end of conservatorship

Amanda Bynes’ lawyer has said the former actress is looking forward to ‘normalcy’ following the end of her conservatorship, and that they ‘won’t rule out’ a return to acting for her.

The 35-year-old starred in films including Hairspray and She’s The Man before her final role in Easy A in 2011. She was then placed under a conservatorship in 2013, although a judge has now

Amanda’s attorney, David A. Esquibias, said: ‘We’re all excited and we’re all anxiously looking forward to Amanda living a life as a private and normal citizen.’

He added that she’s hoping to launch a fragrance and possibly a clothing line as she focuses on her studies, but added that a return to acting could also be on the horizon.

‘I have not heard her say that she’s interested in returning to becoming an actress, but I wouldn’t rule that out,’ he ‘She has a new life ahead of her and she is so young… She was a great actress. I’m sure many people would love to see her return to acting.’

Amanda started her career as a child actress, starring in her own TV show, The Amanda Show, from 1999 to 2000, which also launched careers for the likes of Drake Bell and Josh Peck.

In 2013, following an incredible acting career, she was put under a conservatorship with her mum Lynn in charge following a series of mental health and substance abuse issues.

She  – something her parents are fully supporting.

According to , a judge has set the stage for Amanda’s order to be put to an end.

 by the publication, they issued a ‘tentative ruling’ on Monday, saying that it is ‘no longer required’.

Last September, it was reported that a judge ruled to ‘extend’ it for two years, until 2023.

Speaking to People magazine, Esquibias later clarified that the conservatorship could come to an end whenever Amanda felt it was time to end.

He explained: ‘Her conservatorship is not extended through, March 2023. It is open day to day. 

‘A status report regarding her health and welfare was recently filed and approved by the court.

‘By law, the next status report is due in two years. Her conservatorship will terminate when it is no longer convenient for Amanda.’

Her parents reportedly said that they ‘fully support’ her decision to end the order.
