’s brother has defended his sister against bizarre claims that she’s a .

After a hoax took off on claiming that the singer likes eating humans, Frankie decided to speak out against the outlandish claims.

‘HAHAHAHAHAHA. Wow!’ he wrote , after retweeting a post about the conspiracy.

‘This might be the most creative and lowest y’all have ever gone. Reaching new depths daily!

He added: ‘Listen, I know my sister’s been eating the girls up for years but this a bit extreme! Besides, she’s vegan.’

Celebrities certainly aren’t immune to – remember when everyone believed Avril Lavigne had ?

So why do people suddenly think Ariana Grande eats people?

Why do people think Ariana Grande is a cannibal?

The exact origins of the bizarre theory are unclear, but they seem to stem from an unearthed interview with Ariana where she discusses her obsession with and serial killers.

In June, she told The Boy Is Mine video co-star on his that her dream dinner date – living or dead – would be .

‘I was infatuated with serial killers when I was younger,’ she said, explaining the topic of conversation came up during a Q&A with fans.

‘It was between me being Cat [in Nickelodeon’s Sam & Cat] and pop stuff, so it was like a younger group, and they were with parents, and someone said. “If you could have dinner with anyone living or or dead, who would it be?”‘

‘I was like, “Oh, you’re so cute. Mom and Dad, is it OK if I give the real answer?” And they were like “Sure, what’s the answer?” and I was like, “I mean, Jeffrey Dahmer is pretty fascinating.”

‘I think I would have loved to have met him. Y’know, maybe with a third party or someone involved. But I have questions.’

Dahmer murdered 16 men and boys between 1978 and 1991 before he was eventually locked up in 1992. He was later beaten and Ki**ed by another inmate in 1994.

Her comments enraged Shirley Hughes, the mother of Anthony ‘Tony’ Hughes who was murdered by Dahmer,

She told : ‘To me, it seems like she’s sick in her mind. It’s not fancy or funny to say you would have wanted to do dinner with him. It’s also not something you should say to young people, which she says she did.’

It has also been suggested that the rumours stem from an online trend in which an artist’s fans disparage the artist in order to discourage others from buying tickets to their concerts so they can buy them all – as you do.

The internet has gone wild with the idea that Ariana Grande is a cannibal, with claiming that the pop star sold a house in 2013 with human remains found on the property – but provided no evidence or sources.

“Supposedly” 👀😳

Many took to the comment section to say the claims were a joke started by fans, while others pointed out that the exact same story had also been told about Anne Hathaway in recent years and .

Grandenewshub posted on X: ‘First it was the homewrecking Scan**l, then everyone overreacted about her voice changing and the Jeffrey Dahmer comments, today she’s apparently a cannibal…Ariana can never just live her life.

‘Please remember, she’s a human, she has feelings. these things aren’t funny.’

Arianacovid added: ‘No one with an ounce of sense or any working brain cells actually believes that Ariana grande of all people is a cannibal… let’s all touch grass and move on from this complete non-issue like seriously.’

Has Ariana Grande addressed the conspiracy theory?

Ariana is yet to speak out about the cannibalism conspiracy theories, nor has she addressed the outrage caused by her Dahmer comments.

The singer has recently defended herself against comments made about .

In the same Podcrushed episode, the singer seemingly began the interview with a deeper, huskier voice, before her voice dramatically raises in pitch.

The Wicked star commented: ‘Habit (speaking like this for two years) and also vocal health :).

‘I intentionally change my vocal placement (high / low) often depending on how much singing i’m doing [adding an emoji with tears streaming down its face],

‘I’ve always done this BYE.’
