superstar Becky Lynch wasn’t cleared to compete on Monday Night Raw this week due to a horrific injury she suffered at NXT No Mercy.
The current NXT Women’s Champion successfully defended her title against rising star Tiffany Stratton on Saturday night, but she didn’t emerge from their violent Extreme Rules Match unscathed.
She suffered a deep cut on her arm – which she showed to her fans over the weekend – and needed 11 stitches to fix the wound.
She had been scheduled to face off with Tegan Nox on Monday night, in an attempt to give the Welsh wrestler a rare opportunity at gold.
However, it was confirmed during the show that she hasn’t been cleared to compete, meaning Nox – who instead – wasn’t able to face her for the title.
She had Natalya in her corner as she battled Green, who was backed by her fellow Women’s Tag Team Champion Piper Niven for the match.
Although Lynch – who was sporting a sling on her right arm – couldn’t get in the ring, she did have an exchange with former NXT Women’s Champion Indi Hartwell backstage.
The Australian star was caught taking a photo of the title – which she was forced to relinquish earlier this year – and it sounds like both stars will be on tomorrow’s episode of NXT.
Lynch paid tribute to Stratton after , and insisted ‘it will be’ her opponent’s time again soon, while she appropriately shared a sick face emoji to describe her injury.
She wrote: ‘NbeXT was rocking tonight. The Man brought @tiffanywwe to the main event but she brought it to The Man. Respect. It wasn’t Tiffy time this time. But it will be again.
‘The world tour continues. Stitches and all – last slide is my arm ? Shout out to @iamhuntley for drawing this shirt. @kingtroi for being a legend. #NoMercy’
