Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley’s This Morning start date finally confirmed

Soon the new ITV duo will be presenting Monday to Thursday, with and  continuing with their Friday show. 

It’s been a week since the news was let out after months of speculation and In the interim, the programme has been presented by many UK presenters including , , , and

When is Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley’s first This Morning show?

Ben and Cat will present their first show together on Monday, March 11 at 10am. The live ITV show will continue until 12.30pm.

The news was announced by Richard Arnold on , who said: ‘Breaking news, just in, I can reveal that Ben Shephard’s debut on This Morning… will be Monday March 11, right here on ITV!’

‘I thought I had another week off,’ joked Ben.

The later start time is music to Ben’s ears, who has been on GMB for a decade, which airs from 6am to 9am.

‘It’s horrible,’ said Ben, 49, about the early wakeup on his final show earlier today, where he was joined by Kate Garraway and Andi Peters.

‘The alarm going off has never been anything I’ve enjoyed but what I have known is that as soon as I get in here I’m going to be surrounded by you brilliant, incredible, gorgeous, talented, challenging, chaotic, annoying, fabulous people who make me better what I do,’ shared .

GMB’s loss is This Morning’s gain and new TV partner Cat, 47, is excited to work with him.

‘This Morning is a national institution. Whenever it’s on, it’s like having your friends over – funny, smart, silly, heartfelt, informative and joyful – like all the greatest friendships,’ she said in the original official statement.

‘This Morning is and always will be the viewer’s show. Ben and I both know how much people love it, and with the help of an amazing team of people, we’re going to do our best to take care of it.’

It’s been reported that Cat on So You Think You Can Dance in America for This Morning.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
