This year marks four decades since , 71, , which became the fifth-best-selling single in 1983 in the United Kingdom.
It also saw her nominated for the Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
To celebrate the milestone Bonnie on Thursday to perform the song, as well as speak about how she is working on new music and writing a memoir.
The singer also spoke about how she, but said that after so many years on stage she no longer felt any nerves performing, or ever got sick of her greatest hits.
‘I never get bored of singing it. I always do it during all of my shows and always look forward to it coming up in my set,’ she said.
‘The punters always love it.’
Wrapping up the show with a performance of the song in the studio, Bonnie belted out the tune, however many watching at home made it clear they weren’t impressed with what they were watching, accusing her of lip synching.
‘Gutted. I really wanted to hear her sing,’ one person posted on Twitter during the segment.
‘All that build up and she isn’t even singing,’ someone else wrote.
Another added: ‘Listened to this track far too many times. Bonnie Tyler is definitely miming it. Shame.’
While she’s yet to address the criticism, last year Bonnie did suggest she couldn’t explain another question people had about the song.
For those who might not remember the bonkers music video, it featured prancing school boys, weird symbolism and a potentially haunted boarding school, with slow-mo doves, dramatic poses, gymnasts, ninja’s and boys with car headlights coming out of their eyes.
Decades later Bonnie admitted she was , sharing a grab of the clip of one of the boys with eyes shining with white light on social media.
’39 years on and I still can’t explain this,’ she wrote.
At the time one fan commented that they needed ‘more of this kind of bracing honesty’, while another said they were ‘relieved’ Bonnie was as in the dark as the rest of us.
