’s 2020 winner Jon Courtenay will be returning to screens tonight to perform on the show after suffering from a major health scare.
The 49-year-old comedian wasof the ITV competition show’s 14th season, which aired amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Despite being crowned the winner, after wowing the judges with his own song, , as he revealed in January last year.

Jon had his mole checked by a GP in July and just a few weeks later he was diagnosed with melanoma, a type of skin cancer that can spread to other organs in the body.
After having the mole removed and undergoing an operation, Jon was given the all clear before Christmas in 2020, and has since written The Mole Song to help raise awareness about cancer.
But now, Jon has announced his return to the BGT stage, penning on Twitter: ‘Just when you thought I’d finished with BGT 2 years ago… on ya telly box tonight…’
Recalling his diagnosis, Jon had shared last year: ‘Mentally it was agonising.
‘The doctor’s face was so serious I thought I only had days to live.
‘I was being referred to a specialist immediately because there was a strong possibility it had spread to my lymph nodes.’
‘I was in so much fear about the future,’ he continued to .
‘I had panic attacks. But I was grateful to be busy with BGT.’
Melanoma is caused by skin cells that begin to develop abnormally.
Exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light from the sun is thought to cause most melanomas, but there’s evidence to suggest that some may result from sunbed exposure.
Melanoma skin cancer is the fifth most common cancer in the UK and around 16,000 new cases are diagnosed each year.
Britain’s Got Talent continues on Saturdays at 8pm on ITV.
