viewers who were tuning in to the first show of the new series hoping to see joke acts in abundance were left disappointed as the majority of acts made it through to the next round.

The variety show saw an abundance of talented wannabes impress the judges, with acts ranging from magic, ventriloquism and death-defying scooter stunts performed by small children.

However, the acts which often become favourites are the ones which… let’s just say… don’t have quite as much raw talent as others.

The first episode got off to a strong start in terms of talent, with almost an entire hour passing without a single red buzzer being pressed by , Amanda Holden, David Walliams or Alesha Dixon.

… then a 63-year-old man called Jim, dressed as an enormous crow in a homemade costume appeared and order was restored as he was finally buzzed off by all four judges.

Viewers took to Twitter to share their frustration, writing: ‘Where’s the funny acts no one’s got a buzz yet.’

Others added: ‘Think the buzzers are not in use nowadays’ and ‘Think I want some bad acts now though.’

Some spotted: ‘it’s been 36 minutes since the series started and no red buzzers from any of the judges HOW TF????’ and ‘First red buzzers of the night 58 minutes in!!!’

Another joked: ‘ is better when they show the acts that have no talent’.
