Britain’s Got Talent has banned Dizzee Rascal’s music from broadcasting on the show after , reports have claimed.

He was also ordered to pay £2,190 in costs and a £95 surcharge.

Television insiders have said that ’s ITV show edited out Rascal’s song Bonkers from Saturday’s episode after it had been used as the soundtrack for the Scooter Boys’ audition.

Instead, viewers actually heard music by Tinie Tempah and LMFAO.

‘The decision was taken to dub different music over the top and that’s a policy which will continue throughout the series,’ a source said.

They added to : ‘Like other musicians who’ve been proved guilty of wrongdoing, it would be inappropriate to showcase their work on a family entertainment programme.’

Britain’s Got Talent has declined to comment when approached by the publication.

Rascal has avoided prison after attacking his ex-fiancee during a row over child contact and money.

The Dance Wiv Me star was ‘frustrated’ over custody arrangements and the pair had an argument when he dropped off their daughter at the property, Croydon Magistrates’ Court was told.

District judge Polly Gledhill, who sentenced Rascal, described the assault as domestic abuse and told him she would have wanted him to do some work on how he thinks and behaves as he ‘lost his temper and used violence’.

After reading a pre-sentence report recommendation calling for him to be fined, the judge told the musician he had shown ‘no remorse’ and continues ‘to place the blame on Ms Jones – the victim in this case’.

There was no response from Rascal as he sat in the dock.

Britain’s Got Talent continues on Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
