Britain’s Got Talent is finally returning to TV screens in April after almost two years away.
The talent show, featuring judges , , and , is making its comeback after the ITV series was .
The programme announced its renewal with a compilation of some of its most famous auditions since it first aired in June 2007, before ending the trailer with a tease of one of 2022’s auditions from the vantage point of hosts Ant and Dec backstage.
‘That’s what it’s all about!’ Dec gleefully exclaimed in the clip.
Filming of the 15th series had been scheduled to begin early last year, however production was delayed before .
The show typically airs from around April until July, with the semi-final and final stages broadcast live.
Difficulties in filming amid the pandemic were compounded because acts travel from all over the UK – and even sometimes abroad – to take part in the show.
The last series saw 2009 winners Diversity .
The routine, which sparked more than 24,000 , won the , which is voted for by the public.
Cowell, who created the show, was on the judging panel for the final and semi-finals of the last series as the media mogul was recovering from a back injury.
He was also forced to skip some auditions for the upcoming season in February after , following another bike crash.
Britain’s Got Talent returns to ITV this spring.
