BTS are preparing to take the summer by storm after announcing their new album will be released in just a couple of months.

The K-pop stars first teased the news at the end of their on Saturday night.

A 12-second video appeared on screen with the date 2022.06.10 and the message: ‘We Are Bulletproof.’

A short while later, a lengthier video was then posted on BTS’ official Twitter and featured a montage of clips of the group performing.

Rumours of an album release was then confirmed in a statement from their agency Big Hit Music, which read: ‘BTS will be back with another new album on June 10, 2022.

‘Details on the new album will be provided in a separate notice at a later date. We look forward to your love and support for BTS’s new album. Thank you.’

It promises to be a huge month for the hitmakers as June 10 is BTS Festa, a celebratory event that is acknowledged by BTS fans every year, while June 13 will mark the ninth anniversary of the group’s debut.

The news arrived just as BTS, consisting of V, Jungkook, Jimin, Jin, Suga, RM, and J-Hope, completed their four-night concert series at the Allegiant Stadium in Sin City. They kicked off their four-night Permission To Dance residency in style, , although it wasn’t without a hitch.

It was previously announced that Jin’s performance at the shows would have to be scaled back as he suffered a finger injury.

Big Hit explained in a statement: ‘As we informed you on March 19, Jin had injured his left index finger as the tendons in the finger had been partially damaged and underwent surgery to repair the extensor in the finger.

‘It was the opinion of the medical personnel that Jin should refrain from vigorous movement as any impact on his finger due to the amount of activities increased more than necessary, while he is still recovering from the injury, may cause another surgery.’

They added: ‘While the artist himself strongly wished to participate in the performance in full, our company has decided to follow physician advice and minimise Jin’s movements during the BTS Permission to Dance on Stage – Las Vegas’ concerts on April 8-9 and 15-16.

‘As a result, Jin’s choreography and stage performance will be limited to a certain extent. We ask for your understanding and support from all our fans.’
