On today’s episode of things you absolutely did not expect to see, we have falling off a horse.
Yes, you read that right.
While a chauffeur-driven ride would be a celeb’s typical mode of transport, Cee-Lo opted for horseback as he rocked up to Shawty Lo’s birthday party, certainly making it a night no one will forget in a hurry.
The Gnarls Barkley singer, 47, arrived at the bash at The Bank in Atlanta on Wednesday night, wearing a smile as dazzling as his gold chain as cameras captured the moment.
However, the poor horse wasn’t a fan of the attention, and got jumpy around all the bright lights and loud noise.
Attempts to calm the animal down from several people were unsuccessful, and the horse fell to the ground.
As a result, Cee-Lo – real name Thomas DeCarlo Callaway-Burton – ended up on the floor too, which those with their phones out were very happy to have captured.
The Forget You hitmaker didn’t appear to be hurt, though, as he continued smiling on the way down, and even did a roll before stumbling to his feet.
Despite the inevitable embarrassment, the moment certainly gave the internet a good ol’ laugh.
Referencing the lyrics to Cee-Lo’s biggest hit, one Twitter user joked: ‘horse really said f**k you and f**k her too’.
Impressed by the star’s reaction, another penned: ‘he kinda stuck the landing tho i respect that’.
One quipped: ‘now this is the content we all came to see’, while another tweeted: ‘He recovered just like I’d imagine Ceelo would’.
American rapper Shawty Lo – real name Carlos Rico Walker –
But, his loved ones still gather on March 22 to honour his birthday and celebrate his legacy.
Shawty Lo was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park, Georgia.
His funeral was unconventional to say the least, as, following the service, the procession proceeded to The Blue Flame Lounge, one of the rapper’s favourite strip clubs.
There, a large group of patrons and mourners honoured his casket with a moment of silence ‘filled with just the glow of the candles, and the lights from the strip club’.
