has given fans an emotional health update as she prepares to welcome her second child.
The 2010 star, 30, is after welcoming in May 2018.

As Cher gears up for her little one’s arrival, she revealed to her followers that she’s been diagnosed with gestational .
As per the , gestational diabetes is high blood sugar (glucose) that develops during pregnancy and usually disappears after giving birth.
It can happen at any stage of pregnancy, but is more common in the second or third trimester.
Recalling how the diagnosis made her feel, the Swagger Jagger hitmaker admitted she was tearful.
‘I got the call last week to tell me I had gestational diabetes. I burst into tears’, she began.
‘I felt scared, confused and instantly blamed myself.’
She continued: ‘I’ve spent most of my time researching gestational diabetes and trying to find recipes and ways to control it.
‘I’m still getting used to the changes and how this might affect the rest of my pregnancy.’
The pop star concluded: ‘I just wanted to reach out to any fellow gestational diabetes mamas out there sharing advice, stories and suggestions. Sending love ❤️’
Symptoms of gestational diabetes
Gestational diabetes does not usually cause any symptoms.
Most cases are only discovered when your blood sugar levels are tested during screening for gestational diabetes.
Some women may develop symptoms if their blood sugar levels gets too high (hyperglycaemia), such as:
- increased thirst
- needing to pee more often than usual
- a dry mouth
- tiredness
- blurred eyesight
- genital itching or thrush
Cher received a whole load of support in the comments, with fellow X Factor contestant Katie Waissel writing: ‘This tugged at my heart so much! Most women with gestational diabetes have otherwise normal pregnancies with healthy babies, however, it can cause problems.
These might include the baby growing larger than usual with difficulties during delivery, a premature birth, baby developing low blood sugar, and, in very rare cases, stillbirth.
Having gestational diabetes also means you’re at an increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes in the future.
