Chester Bennington’s widow marks 5 years since Linkin Park star’s tragic death as she recalls last kiss

The late has been remembered by his widow, Talinda Bennington, five years on from his death.

The iconic musician when he on July 20, 2017, , as well as his bandmates, friends and family.

Bennington, whose incredible vocals through, also performed as the vocalist for Dead By Sunrise, Grey Daze and Stone Temple Pilots.

The star married Talinda Bentley in 2006 and the pair were completely inseparable, often sharing snippets of their lives together with their three children on social media.

Now Talinda has paid tribute to her late husband with a heartbreaking video where she reflects on five years without the singer.

In the clip, posted to TikTok, Talinda sits in a sunlit garden, while Dead By Sunrise’s track Give Me Your Name plays in the background.

Words appear on the screen over Talinda’s face, which read: ‘Just sitting here thinking that I can’t believe it’s been five years since I last saw you and kissed your sweet face goodbye.’

A caption on the video saw the mum-of-three add: ‘5 years.

‘I didn’t think I could breathe this long without you.

‘R.I.P. my love.’

In the years following Bennington’s death, Talinda launched mental health nonprofit 320 Changes Direction, which supports those suffering from depression as well as their loved ones.

Named after Bennington’s date of birth, 320 Changes Direction hopes to ‘change the culture of mental health so that those in need – and their family members – are  able to speak openly about their struggles so that they can seek the care they deserve.’

Bennington and his widow had three children together: son Tyler Lee, 16, and twin daughters Lila and Lily, 11.

The dedicated father also has son Jaime, 25, from his relationship with Elka Brand, and adopted her son Isaiah, 24, in 2006.

His other son, Draven, was born in 2002, from Bennington’s first marriage to Samantha Bennington.

Bennington died in 2017 after a decades-long struggle with depression and addiction issues, which he spoke openly about in interviews and through his music.
