The latest episode of The Equalizer saw ’s character written out for good, after the actor was dropped from the CBS drama following
came after two separate allegations of sexual assault in 2004 and 2015 against the 67-year-old actor, came to light in December 2021.
One of the earlier episodes of the spy thriller showed Bishop having a tender moment with his old friend Robyn McCall (Queen Latifah) before a song closed out the episode.
But in the latest instalment, it was revealed that Bishop was MIA due to a top-secret investigation.
And then it was later addressed that the ex-CIA director died in a plane crash that was orchestrated by Robyn’s nemesis Mason Quinn (Chris Vance).
The crime-fiction series, which is produced by Universal Television in association with CBS Television Studios, wrote a short statement which said: ‘Chris Noth will no longer film additional episodes of The Equalizer, effective immediately.’
Noth – who played Carrie Bradshaw’s husband Mr Big in Sex and The City – has vehemently denied accusations of sexual assault and insisted in a statement his ‘encounters were consensual’.
Law and Order actress Zoe Lister-Jones accused Noth  in her place of work, which was a bar he owned, and on the set of the legal drama in which he starred from 1990 to 1995.
Following the claims, however, Noth was subsequently dropped by his talent agency  of And Just Like That were removed after his character, Big, died in the final moments of episode one.
Co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis, who played Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte in the hit US show said they were but ‘support the women’ who shared their experiences.
A source told Us Weekly at the time that Parker was ‘ and is still ‘processing’ them.
