spent her Saturday afternoon in the A&E department of Macclesfield hospital after her daughter Felicity picked up a nasty injury.
The TV personality and model, 35, who married comedian in 2011 , updated fans on her daughter’s condition on Instagram.
Mum-of-three Christine revealed that she had to rush seven-year-old Felicity to the emergency room after an accident during a routine gymnastics session.
‘Currently spending my Saturday here – so praying hopefully I’ll see you at the [Sheppey United] charity match tomorrow depending on my little lady,’ she opened up.
Christine had planned to take part in a charity football match in Kent, raising funds for a 28-year-old woman called Leonie who had stage four cancer and needs but had to miss out due to Felicity’s condition.
She had been hoping it was ‘just a minor injury’, adding: ‘Felicity’s made of strong stuff so we’re good, just another day in the life of a mama!’
Thankfully, Felicity was alright in the end, with the Real Housewives of Cheshire star posting: ‘Mummy, McDonald’s and extra snuggles on demand. NHS Macclesfield hospital were absolutely amazing and extra gentle with my girl today.’
Sadly, the next morning, Christine had to pull out of the Sheppey charity game but implored her followers to donate to the cause: ‘Absolutely gutted I can’t make today’s match. My baby girl needs her mummy. Please, if you can go, every penny raised goes to support Leonie Botten.’
Though it’s not clear what the injury is, Felicity is thankfully on the mend, and the Loose Women guest panellist took time to reflect on a random act of kindness from a total stranger.
‘To the lady in the waiting area who gave my daughter sensory toys, thank you,’ she shared. As is the case with all three of the children Christine shares with ex-husband Paddy, and Christine herself, Felicity has autism.
Her siblings, Penelope and Leo, both nine, were diagnosed with the condition around the same time that Christine revealed her own diagnosis. Despite their estrangement at the point of her diagnosis, of his ex-wife.
Autism is also known as autism spectrum disorder – the severity of the symptoms and signs changing from person to person, with some patients regarded ‘high functioning’ and others regarded as ‘low functioning’.
People with autism may find it hard to communicate with others, be overwhelmed by bright lights and loud noises, and become upset in unfamiliar or unexpected situations.
‘Very proud of Christine for making this new documentary highlighting autism, particularly in women,’ he said. ‘It’ll be a massive help to our daughters in years to come, along with our little lad.’
As of June 2023, the couple were that they’re no longer a couple, with their divorce having been finalised in July 2022.
In March 2023, Christine described their current living situation to : ‘We are very close, we’re family no matter what. It’s amazing he’s there if and when I need him and the same the other way around.’
