Freddie Prinze Jr is coming back to our screens with a new Christmas film, and is bringing a sack full of festive joy with him.
The She’s All That star took a step back from the limelight recently, but is set to make his grand return next month in a new Netflix movie, Christmas With You.
Santa has indeed come early for us this year as the streaming platform dropped the first trailer earlier today.
The flick follows Aimee Garcia as pop star Angelina, who is under pressure from her record label to release a festive banger.
Desperate to escape, she sees a video from a youngster hoping to grab her attention, and scraps all her plans to meet the girl.
A coincidentally-timed snow storm sees Angelina stuck in the small town with the adoring fan and her single dad (Freddie), when sparks begin to fly between them.
Will the musician find the inspiration to record her Christmas bop? Thankfully, we don’t have to wait too long to find out, with the movie landing on Netflix on November 17.
Of course, fans went into meltdown at the first glimpse of the teaser and shared their excitement at Freddie’s return
‘FREDDIE BACK ON HIS ROM-COM ERA ?!! THE WORLD IS HEALING,’ an impressed follower yelled.
One asked: ‘Freddie Prinze Jr AND Aimee Garcia? … is it November 17th yet?’
‘@RealFPJr you’re going to be amazing in this I know that for darn sure. And I can’t wait for it,’ a Twitter user said.
As another added: ‘I HAD NO IDEA I NEEDED THIS AND NOW IT’S EVERYTHING I’VE EVER WANTED!!’
Honestly, hard same.
The official synopsis reads: ‘Feeling career burn out, pop star Angelina escapes to grant a young fan’s wish in small town New York, where she not only finds the inspiration to revitalize her career but also a shot at true love.’
Freddie isn’t the only famous face marking their comeback with Netflix, as with the streamer next month.
In Falling For Christmas, she plays a spoiled hotel heiress who loses her memory in a skiing accident, with lodge owner Chord Overstreet on hand to help her recovery.
Is it November yet?
Christmas With You is released on Netflix on November 17.
