The prospect of a and double bill has been the subject of many a conversation online after it was announced the two eagerly-anticipated films would be released on the same day.

Mission Impossible star has weighed in on the idea, while Greta and Margot have both given the Barbenheimer plan the seal of approval with their own big screen double bill of Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One and Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny.
Now, Oppenheimer’s leading man Cillian, 47, has shared his opinion on the weirdly warring films, urging audiences to make time to see both.
‘I can’t wait to see Barbie,’ the Peaky Blinders actor told Spanish publication.
‘I love Margot Robbie, I love Ryan Gosling, I want to see them now. I don’t know what the debate is about, although it’s not that I have an overwhelming opinion about it either.
‘My advice would be for people to go see both, on the same day. If they are good films, then that’s cinema’s gain.’
The strange double bill has gained traction online, with fans discussing their ideal viewing order as well as how you should dress for the occasion.
Barbie director Greta has spoken out about the notion of a feud between the two films, declaring that ‘it’s all love.’
‘It’s all love – double up, double up twice. I think you’ve got to see what the experience is, Barbie then Oppenheimer, Oppenheimer then Barbie. I think you’ve got to take all of the journeys,’ she told .
Cillian also recently opened up on the .
‘Cigarettes and pipes. He would alternate between the two. That’s what [Ki**ed] him in the end,’ the 28 Days Later actor said of the character he plays, with Oppenheimer dying of cancer in 1967.
‘I’ve smoked so many fake cigarettes for Peaky and this. My next character won’t be a smoker. They can’t be good for you,’ he told .
In addition to (fake) smoking like a chimney to prepare for the role, Cillian also admitted to losing a considerable amount of weight to get into character.
‘You become competitive with yourself a little bit which is not healthy. I don’t advise it,’ he said, keeping the specific details about his weight loss private.
