Coachella 2022: Clip of Shania Twain dubbing Harry Styles a ‘dream collaboration’ resurfaces after pair take festival by storm

While it may have seemed like a huge surprise to some, others will be aware that the pair go way back, with the That Don’t Impress Me Much singer expressing how much she admired the band member a few years back in a clip that resurfaced on social media.

During a 2020 appearance on , Phillip Schofield asked Shania – who was speaking to him and Holly Willoughby via video chat – whether there was any possibility of a collaboration with Harry.

‘Definitely. We text each other off and on about music and toying with the idea of doing something together so I think we’ll hold each other to that,’ she replied.

‘You can count on it, I’m gonna hold him to it,’ the musician added.

Holly then pointed out that Harry is a massive fan of Shania’s, having listened to her music when he was younger.

‘Aw yeah I’d love to do that, that’s a dream collaboration for me, for sure.’

After the clip began doing the rounds again following their epic Coachella show, one fan tweeted that they were ‘sobbing’ that the dream was made a reality.

Two years previously, on Good Morning Britain, saying that she took being an inspiration to the Watermelon Sugar singer as a ‘huge compliment’.

During the first night of Coachella 2022, which returned after a three-year hiatus, Harry, 28, brought Shania, 56, out on stage much to the delighted crowd’s surprise.

The pair sang her iconic tracks Man, I Feel Like A Woman and You’re The One, matching in spectacularly bedazzled ensembles.

‘This lady taught me to sing,’ he said, before adding: ‘She also taught me that men are trash.’

The crowd laughed over his quips, before Shania shared just how excited she was to be sharing the stage with him.

‘I’m just lost for words,’ she said, admitting that she felt ‘starstruck’.

That wasn’t the only treat of the night, as during Daniel Caesar’s set to perform Peaches, leaving fans ‘screaming’.

Several urged Coachella to bring the Sorry singer back as the headliner next year, with one person dubbing him ‘pop prince’.
