After spending hundreds of dollars on games, one player has found a cost-effective alternative using ’s Creative mode.

If you count the upcoming Warzone Mobile title, there are now 50 games in total that are part of the Call Of Duty franchise.

Most of them cost around £60 to £70, so if you want to keep up with new releases, you’d need to put your hands deep in your pockets – especially once you start paying for seasons passes and other online extras.

There’s always free-to-play Warzone 2 to fall back on, but it turns out that some of its new content will be effectively after Season 2 kicks off.

Upon realising that Call Of Duty was beginning to cost him more and more money, one dedicated player decided to quit once and for all.

He then turned to Fortnite, which is a free-to-play game, and spent two months recreating some of his favourite Call Of Duty maps in its Creative mode.

Creative is basically an open sandbox where players can build and publish their own custom islands, or discover featured islands created by the community.

The Creative mode also allows players to use first person view – just like in Call Of Duty games – unlike the battle royale which is only available to play in third person.

The player, whose Twitter handle is Mist Jawa, recreated two of Call Of Duty’s smaller maps, Rust and Shipment.

Rust was last seen in the 2019 version of Modern Warfare, whereas Shipment is also available to play in the 2022 game, after it was added with the Season 1 Reloaded update.

Mist Jawa announced that he’s planning to recreate even more Call Of Duty maps in Fortnite, and posted a poll for his followers to vote on the next one.

One of the options is Shoot House from Modern Warfare 2, which was plagued by several bugs in the first weeks of the game’s release.

The most memorable one is when , when standing in certain spots.
