star Colleen Ballinger’s upcoming tour dates have been canceled amid accusations of inappropriate behavior with young fans.
The 36-year-old, , was due to continue her ongoing performances across the , in cities including Boise, Salt Lake City, Kansas and Santa Fe.
However, the remaining 11 dates have been axed after allegations concerning her behavior surfaced online.
Trisha Paytas, who recently launched the Oversharing with Ballinger, also announced that their project was over after just three episodes.
‘When I say I’ve never wanted a chapter in my life to be over faster than this – even though it was a really small chapter – I mean it,’ over the weekend, explaining that she ‘really feels’ for the people involved.
‘The podcast ending after three episodes is embarrassing,’ she continued. ‘It’s all embarrassing.
‘We did invest a lot into this, I really was just so excited to do something produced.
‘Then it all went to crap, but it’s for the better, and now I’m just trying to pivot.’
Ballinger has been accused of sharing inappropriate exchanges with some underage fans, and has also faced claims of grooming.
In 2020, Adam McIntyre called her out for sending him lingerie when he was a teenager, something she previously described as ‘completely stupid’ and admitted that she ‘should never have sent that’.
Insisting that it was a joke, she added at the time via E! News: ‘I don’t know what part of my brain was missing at the time that I thought, “Oh, this is a normal, silly thing to do”. But I am not a monster.’
McIntyre alleged that she ‘bullied and manipulated’ some of her young fans into doing free labor, and also said that she would ask them inappropriate questions.
As well as this, Ballinger came under fire for a resurfaced video showing her allegedly performing a cover of Beyonce’s Single Ladies in Blackface – her lawyers have since denied this in a response to Vulture, claiming that she had actually painted herself green after the witch in Wicked.
At the end of June, in a new 10-minute video, titled ‘Hi’, with the caption: ‘I do not condone or support any kind of online bullying or hate towards anyone. ever.’
Playing the ukelele, she sang about the ‘toxic gossip train, chugging down the tracks of misinformation’.
‘Hey, it’s been a while since you saw my face. I haven’t been doing so great so I took a little break,’ she began.
‘A lot of people are saying things about me that aren’t quite true, doesn’t matter if it’s true though, just as long as it’s entertaining to you.
‘All aboard the toxic gossip train, chugging down the tracks of misinformation. The toxic gossip train.
‘Many years ago, I used to message my fans but not in a creepy way, like a lot of you are trying to suggest. It was more of a loser kind of way, where I was just trying to be besties with everybody.’
