It’s a boy! Constance Wu has welcomed her second child with boyfriend Ryan Kattner.
The 41-year-old actress – who also with her partner – has revealed that she’s given birth to their second child and admitted ‘nobody knew’.
In a teaser clip for the PRETTYSMART , which will be released in full Constance said: ‘Breaking news. Nobody knew I had a son.’
The actress, who revealed her pregnancy on in February, opened up about her arrival after explaining that she’d dedicated her book to her daughter, noting she wrote it before the arrival of her baby boy.
‘They were like: “You’re having a boy,” ‘ the Crazy Rich Asians star said as she recalled finding out they were having a son.
Mimicking her surprised reaction, she added: ‘And I was like: “Are you sure?”‘
And she explained that despite ‘differences’ between raising a son and a daughter, she hasn’t been nervous about her new bundle of joy.
‘A lot of differences I’m experiencing are like, he’s just a different person [than her daughter],’ she added. ‘It’s our second kid, so we have less anxiety around it, we’ve done it before. It’s still early, he’s still a little nugget.’
Earlier this year, Constance first revealed her pregnancy on Instagram as she shared a photo of her growing baby bump.
‘Bun in the oven. Filipinese baby #2 coming soon,’ she wrote at the time.
The movie star confirmed the news shortly after she was photographed with a bump on show while walking through a park in Los Angeles.
Constance and Ryan have actually made a concerted effort to keep their first child out of the spotlight although despite this, she did previously reveal that their daughter has a ‘special’ birthmark.
The actress explained on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon: ‘Her butt is the colour blue. There’s this thing, I had never heard of it before, but it’s called a Mongolian spot (a congenital melanocytosi).
‘Apparently, it happens in a lot of Asian babies, and my boyfriend and I are both Asian. And it’s where your butt is blue for like the first two years of your life, and then it just goes away.’
