Former Weakest Link star Anne, 77, announced she was quitting the Channel 4 show after one year in the hotseat and making history as the first female to take the role.
She took over from ’s Nick Hewer on the letters and numbers programme in 2021, after much speculation over who would take his place following 10 years at the helm.
Now, Colin is fronting Countdown until the end of the season.

Prior to Match Of The Day 2 and Countdown, Colin, 45, has enjoyed presenting radio shows on the likes of BBC Radio 5 Live and Talksport.
He hosted the 10am to 1pm slot on Talksport for three years from 2013, however quit the station in 2016 following the takeover of the station by .
Is Colin Murray married?
Colin Murray is married to Canadian-born composer Carly Paradis. The couple have been married since 2012.
Carly composes soundtracks for movies, TV series and her own albums, with her most notable works including The Line Of Duty theme and the Innocents on Netflix.
She was nominated for a Bafta TV Craft Award this year for best original music for Line Of Duty series six.
