Courteney Cox might have more in common with Monica Geller than we thought because she couldn’t help giving her Hollywood Walk of Fame star a tidy up this week.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a video as she watched people walk over her landmark, with one even daring to wipe their shoes across her name.
Jumping into action, she ran out of a nearby shop, armed with a spray bottle and some tissue, and got down on her hands and knees to scrub it clean.
‘You can go around,’ the Hollywood icon suggested to some fans who were watching on.
Proving that she’s a generous queen, Courteney also, including Jennifer Aniston, Laura Dern and Reese Witherspoon.

Alongside the epic clip, she simply wrote: ‘Someone’s gotta do it.’
Fans and famous faces were living for the footage, as Reese joked: ‘Thanks for keeping us clean, Court!!’
‘Only the best thing ever,’ Lisa Kudrow praised, as Demi Moore offered a string of cry laughing emoji.
Quoting Friends, one follower said: ‘“I’m Monica, I wash my star 17 times a day. Even if people are on it!”’
Another laughed: ‘Not just clean, Monica clean!’
‘Omg. This is such a Monica thing. Love it Courtney. Looking out for your girls,’ an Instagram user added.
Courteney was surrounded by her loved ones, including Laura, Lisa and Jennifer, as she unveiled her star on the Walk of Fame in a touching ceremony.

Her Friends co-stars were on hand to make a speech to mark the occasion, with Jennifer explaining: ‘To be friends with Courteney is to be family with Courteney. She is responsible for all of that.
‘From the beginning of when we met her, she was immediately inclusive, warm, loving, interested in everything about you. And I was really nervous to meet her because I was a huge fan.’
Lisa shared that they were ‘deeply, deeply proud to know’ the Scream icon, describing her as the ‘definition of a truly beautiful, talented and what’s most important, a truly good and decent human being’.
An emotional Courteney added: ‘Friends taught me the importance of camaraderie and really sticking together.
‘These friendships were at the most important time in my life, and we went through so many things together.’
