Dancing On Ice judge Ashley Banjo uncertain over panel return: ‘They haven’t given me the green light yet’

is keeping everything crossed over his return to the judging panel.

The 33-year-old choreographer – who first joined the annual skating series in 2018 – revealed that the show is expected to return next year after dancer .

However, he isn’t sure whether he’ll be sitting alongside his co-stars , Jayne Torvill, and Christopher Dean.

‘The producers have told me that the show will be returning for another series, but they haven’t given me the green light yet,’ he said.

The Diversity star also expressed how surprised he was over his love for ‘ice dancing,’ which has resulted in him caring about the competition and the contestants.

‘I have my fingers crossed that they will ask me back,’ he added to the Sunday newspaper.

Meanwhile, Ashley recently admitted that he is after Diversity’s Black Lives Matter dance performance on Britain’s Got Talent.

Despite feeling defiant against the trolls, the street dancer revealed that performing the routine on Diversity’s nationwide tour still makes him nervous about the audience reaction.

‘Every night, I go down and take that knee and there’s a little part of me that just kind of goes, “I wonder what’s gonna happen”. You just don’t know,’ he said.

‘We never got the opportunity to perform that routine in front of a crowd at the time because of Covid.’

, with some viewers claiming it was unsuitable for a family audience, that it was racist towards white people, and that it was too critical of white police officers and also endorsing a political movement.

When Ashley accepted the award, he , saying that they ‘showed why this moment was necessary’.
