Michelle Williams is expecting her third child, her second with husband Thomas Kail.
The Dawson’s Creek actress confirmed the news of her pregnancy in a new interview, explaining that their ‘good fortune’ had not been taken for granted.
The 41-year-old, 44, welcoming the toddler in 2020, and is also mom to daughter Matilda from her relationship with Heath Ledger.
‘It’s totally joyous,’ she said of her baby news. ‘As the years go on, you sort of wonder what they might hold for you or not hold for you. It’s exciting to discover that something you want again and again, is available one more time. That good fortune is not lost on me or my family.’
The couple have kept most of their romance under wraps since they were first linked in 2019, after working together on Fosse/Verdon.

In the candid chat with , she also opened up about raising a young child during the pandemic, explaining that it helped her put things in perspective.
‘It was a reminder that life goes on,’ she continued. ‘The world we brought a baby into is not the world we thought we were bringing a baby into, but the baby is ignorant of that. He experiences the unmitigated joy of discovery and the happiness of a loving home.
‘There’s nothing that makes you committed to a better world than raising a great kid.
‘It’s the ultimate creative act.’
Michelle was previously married to Mount Eerie rocker Phil Elverum, with the former couple saying their vows in 2018.
It wasn’t to last and they split in 2019, after less than a year of marriage.
She also dated 10 Things I Hate About You actor Heath Ledger for three years, sharing daughter Matilda with the late actor.
Meanwhile, Thomas married theatre actress Angela Christian in 2006 – but they were last seen in public together in December, 2018, a year before his romance with Michelle was made public.
