It’s going to be an emotional night for fans everywhere as we say a final farewell to the squad that has kept us entertained for four years – but what lies ahead for the main cast?

depicts a key moment in Northern Irish history – the Good Friday Agreement vote.

Titled ‘The Agreement’, it will take place a year later as Erin (Saoirse-Monica Jackson), Clare (), Michelle (Jamie-Lee O’Connell), Orla (Louisa Harland ) prepare for their final year of school, the week that the referendum on the Good Friday Agreement took place.

And there’s another important milestone that will be celebrated – Erin and Orlan’s joint 18th birthday party – but will their festivities be overshadowed by the historical vote?

Nicola Coughlan

The 35-year-old actress stars as Penelope Featherington in Netflix’s regency series Bridgerton.

After she was unveiled as the Scan**lous gossipmonger Lady Whistedown, viewers have been keeping a close eye on her every move.

And now, fans will be seeing Penelope in a new light as her in season three.

When asked if she felt ready to film the X-rated scenes, Nicola joked: ‘I’m gonna have to be.

‘I’ve known for two weeks into filming season two, so I had a lot of time to adjust to it.’

Although she has a starring role on the Netflix drama, Nicola expressed her ’ final instalment.

Speaking to the press, she said: ‘We were meant to film Derry Girls in January 2021.

‘And I was totally free, and they decided to push it again. And that caused me insane stress because I was on what in the industry is called first call.’

They had to cut down my role somewhat, which was hard,’ she added.

‘But I think, you know, the fans of the show are going to be happy.’

Jamie-Lee O’Donnell

Jamie-Lee, who plays fiery teenager Michelle – recently played 21-year-old trainee officer Rose in another Channel 4 prison series Screw, which premiered in January.

Earlier in the year, the actress starred in the    Redeeming Love alongside Nina Dobrev and Eric Dane.

The 30-year-old recently revealed she is now writing her own scripts, which could eventually be made into TV shows or films.

‘I do write scripts. I’ve got a few projects happening at the moment,’ she told .

‘There’s no deadline for them or anything — it’s leisurely at the moment — but, yes, I’m writing away.

‘I feel like I’m doing really good projects and working with really great people; I just hope that it continues. I’d love to do something with action someday, something really physical.’

We can’t wait to see more of her!

Saoirse-Monica Jackson

As well as Celebrity Gogglebox alongside her co-star Jamie, and defeating her co-stars in a special festive edition of The Great British Bake Off, Saoirse has appeared in a number of TV dramas.

However, the future is looking bright for the 28-year-old actress, as she’s landed a role in the upcoming DC film The Flash, which will also feature both Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton returning to the role of Batman.

The Flash is set to premiere next summer.

Louisa Harland

Not much is known about what’s in the pipeline for Louisa, however judging by her Instagram shots, it’s safe to say the 28-year-old actress has a passion for photography.

Her other credentials include a role in Netflix drama The Deceived alongside Normal People’s Paul Mescal, and she also featured in the 2017 film Lost in London alongside Daniel Radcliffe.

Siobhán McSweeney

Cork native Siobhan McSweeney played the brilliantly droll nun and headteacher Sister Michael.

Her sarcastic persona made her a fan favourite, with many calling for a Sister Michael spin-off.

Speaking on The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show, the 42-year-old actress insisted that Sister Michael works better as part of an ensemble rather than as the lead of her own show.

‘I don’t see it. I think she, like everybody, every character, exists so fully and truly in that particular environment.’

We can only hope she changes her mind in the future!
