has dropped the dramatic trailer for the second part of its upcoming .
In a swashbuckling special adventure, the Doctor (played by ), Yaz (Mandip Gill) and Dan (John Bishop) come face to fin with one of the Doctor’s oldest adversaries: the Sea Devils.
The explosive one-minute teaser promises all the action as the group are targeted by the ferocious enemies while out at sea.
‘They’re coming straight for us!’ Dan frets, while a confused Doctor replies: ‘That’s impossible!’
Seconds later and the Time Lord is face-to-face with her foe. ‘You want to create chaos,’ she tells one of the monsters, who replies: ‘It is our time.’
Fans were living for the sneak peak and expressed their anticipation for the episode.
‘This looks absolutely splendid, and I’m incredibly excited to see the Sea Devils once again!’ enthused one.
Echoing a similar sentiment, another added: ‘OMG! This looks so fun and amazing! Plus Yaz with a sword, bring it!️️ my favorite Doctor, looking forward to this soooo much!’

Legend of the Sea Devils will mark Whittaker’s penultimate performance as the Doctor.
‘Why has legendary pirate queen Madam Ching come searching for a lost treasure?’ the synopsis asks. ‘What terrifying forces lurk beneath the oceans of the nineteenth century? And did Yaz really have to dress Dan up as a pirate?’
Earlier this week, Doctor Who’s Gill revealed she suffered a nasty finger injury as she fended off monsters while filming ’s upcoming special.
The action-packed episode of will see Yaz, fight one of the Doctor’s oldest enemies in a dramatic sword-fighting scene.
But in the middle of filming Gill nearly had to pause production to nurse her finger, which she hurt while filming alongside Whittaker and Bishop.
Speaking to the , Gill joked: ‘It didn’t go down very well. I was like, “This sword is really heavy. And I’ve hurt my finger now. Shall we stop?”‘
But despite the pain, she described the fight as an ‘amazing stunt’ and has said she ‘can’t stop thinking about it.’
‘I was like, I actually hurt my finger because of a Sea Devil. Not many people get to say that,’ she added.
