Dominik Mysterio is predicting big things for Rhea Ripley and he reckons she can dominate the entire roster.
The second generation wrestler, whose , turned to the dark side and joined villainous group The Judgment Day in September 2022 and he’s been working closely with Women’s World Champion
He exclusively told Metro.co.uk: ‘Even though she’s 26 years old, she has 10-plus years of experience. She’s done so much, accomplished so much, she’s held every title in WWE and she’s only 26!
‘I give her another two years before she takes over all the men’s titles, it’s only a matter for time!’
Through his work with Rhea, Finn Balor and Damian Priest, Dom has arguably become the business’ biggest antagonist with crowds around the world loving to boo him.
‘It makes it much easier for me you know? You have these people talking trash to me, and I can turn around and talk trash right back to you and there’s nothing you can do about it,’ he admitted.
‘Even to some of the superstars too, I’m gonna say things right to your face and there’s nothing you can do about it. Either you’ve got a problem with me, you’ve got a problem with the Judgment Day, and Mami’s gonna step right in front.’
Joining the group and forging his on-screen partnership with Rhea has been a gamechanger for Dom, and while the 26-year-old star has always had this side in him, has played a massive role.
‘It did come a little bit natural to me, just because I’ve always been a fan of teasing and making fun of people – especially because I grew up with a little sister! So, it was easy to naturally poke and make fun of her, so I can just carry that on,’ he laughed.
‘Even with Priest and Finn and Rhea – especially Rhea, they taught me how to just go out there and be a menace to these people. And just have them not like me!
‘Rhea with these kids, you know, she’s teaching me how to be menacing to these kids!’
He admitted Rhea has helped him come out of his shell as a performer, and every week he’s feeling ‘comfortable and more confident’ in front of the world.
‘I can’t thank her enough. I think she’s really the one that helped me come out of my turtle shell and just enjoy and have fun with them,’ he added. ‘Our chemistry’s growing week to week, we’re getting more comfortable with each other. It’s only getting better man!’
However, everyone in the group has helped him develop over the past 10 months.
‘Finn has been doing this for so many years, on top of his game for so many years, not only in WWE but in New Japan, all over the world. Same with Damian, taking over Ring of Honor, being the guy in NXT and then coming up here on the main roster and being Main Event Priest,’ he enthused.
‘Honestly, the fact that I’m able to go out there with them, and have 30 plus years of experience from everyone in that group – we’re all just having fun, man.
‘And the fact that they tell me to go out there and just be confident and have fun, I really rely on them. I think it’s really a family thing that we can just really on each other.’
Looking to the future, Dom is happy to ‘go with the flow’ and see where the group goes – but he’d love for the men to add some gold to Rhea’s prize, while Priest is one step closer after winning the Money In The Bank contract earlier this month.
‘Honestly, right now I’m kinda just going with the flow, whatever the Judgment Day’s got planned or whatever we think is the best fit for us moving forward,’ he said, noting their frequent ‘family discussions on what’s next’.
The former tag team champ added: ‘I would definitely like to see us hold some gold. I want some tag gold with my boys, whether it’s with Finn or Damian, I want some gold around us.
‘Or even if it’s Finn and Damian, I just want some gold around the Judgment Day. Rhea looks great in gold but I know the boys would too!’
