A common theme has sprung up on this year’s series of , with and coming to blows – yet again – over a business pitch.
On tonight’s episode of the BBC programme, Edinburgh-based duo Caroline and Sarah presented their business for a luxury lingerie line created with breast survivors in mind, called LoveRose Lingerie.
Caroline explained that the brand was named after her sister, who died from breast cancer, before she suffered from the disease twice herself.
Despite clearly being geared towards breast cancer survivors who want to invest in luxury underwear, Touker suggested that the brand should also explore other avenues in the industry, such as creating bras for pregnant or breastfeeding women, given their high price point.
However, it came as no surprise when , saying that he held the opposite view.
‘You listen to me. I’ve been at this for 45 years,’ Touker immediately retorted, as Steven replied: ‘And I’ve been building the biggest brands in the world for 10 years.’ Any Dragons’ Den viewers experiencing déjà vu?
Following their cutting argument – a regular occurrence in the Den – Touker challenged Steven on the spot to invest in the business.
Despite his support for the entrepreneurs’ company, neither Steven nor any of the other Dragons’ invested.
Several people watching expressed how funny they found it that the pair had come to blows yet again, having argued on several occasions throughout the series.
‘Touker and Steven… the pettiness… the drama… I LOVE IT,’ one person tweeted.
‘Really wanna see Touker and Steven in the final round of the Apprentice to see who’d really come out on top,’ another quipped.
‘Again, Touker and Steven kill me ??. Why all the bickering?!’ one viewer said.
‘Touker and Steven are always beefing,’ someone else remarked, with another adding: ‘Touker Vs Steven. The next big boxing match.’
Ahead of the launch of his debut series of Dragons’ Den, about what viewers could expect, teasing the heated rivalry he shares with Touker.
‘I think me and Touker, we had several heated moments, where he would shout at me and I’d shout back,’ he recalled.
‘He’d shout at me, “What do you know about business?” And then I’d shout back at him. But it’s remarkable, because we have those moments on set – and those moments on set are genuine, we are arguing. But then we walk off, he’ll tell me about something that’s going on in his life and we’ll chat.’
