Feast your eyes on this new wax figure – it’s a real treat.
Perhaps not in the conventional way, but rather because, erm, it’s… not so accurate.
The waxwork has been unveiled in Germany after being carefully crafted by artist Lisa Büscher.
On display at the Panoptikum Museum in Hamburg, the lifesize model joins several high-profile wax figures like , II, Karl Lagerfeld, and Henry VIII.
And Ed’s has already garnered quite a reaction online.
Of course, the wax figure is the result of hours upon hours of hard work and meticulous attention to detail with what looks like.
And from a distance, it does bear a striking resemblance to Grammy winner Ed, 32, with his ginger locks, tattoos, blue eyes, signature stack of bracelets, and guitar.
His outfit is also spot on, with the baggy denim jeans, long-sleeved black tee, and red trainers.
But, not everyone is so convinced that it’s the best replica of Ed they’ve ever seen.
After taking a closer look, fans got quite the jumpscare.
‘Why is that waxwork of #EdSheeran freaking me out?’, one person wrote on Twitter.
‘Ohhh noooo! I was literally in front of the man last month and this wax figure looks nothing like him!’, one added.
Another even joked that Ed’s figure looks more like Boris Johnson.
This isn’t Ed’s first wax figure, as he also has a figure in the world-famous wax museum Madame Tussauds, which was unveiled in 2015.
His first figure looks almost identical to Ed, with the star taking to Instagram at the time after posing for a selfie with his wax double.
It doesn’t look like Ed will be visiting his new wax figure in the flesh anytime soon, though, as
The Shape Of You hitmaker is touring America and was recently forced to open his own show after support act
Assuring concertgoers that Khalid was doing ok and resting up, Ed gave fans a real treat with an extended acoustic set with extra songs not in his usual setlist.
