The reality TV queen, 29, is bouncing back after back inJanuary, putting the drama firmly behind her and making big splash across the pond.
Following a , Ekin-Su became the first Love Island star on Sunday night, one of the most prestigious events in the calendar, rubbing shoulders with the likes of and .
Finally, she’s getting the career boost that’s been long overdue.
‘Life is good, and I feel so grateful for these amazing opportunities,’ she told Metro.co.uk.
‘The US has welcomed me with open arms, and I have felt so supported by the UK who are championing me to fly the flag across the pond. It’s been a whirlwind six months, but I’m solely focused on my career right now, and taking back ownership of who I am.’
After mingling with Hollywood royalty, she continued: ‘Last night was amazing. I felt incredibly honoured to be invited to the Tony Awards, and it was an honour to be able to celebrate those in attendance last night.’
But her night with Oscar winners and music legends is just the beginning as insiders tells us she’s undergoing ‘the ultimate career glow up’ as part of a masterclass in rebrand with a new squad supporting her.
‘Ekin’s new team have been busy behind the scenes to ensure her career is moving in the right direction, and to give her some more ownership over her brand,’ a source told Metro.co.uk.
‘She has made history as she stepped out on the Tony Awards carpet, as the only UK Love Islander to have ever attended.
‘It was the hottest ticket in town last night, and Ekin was flying the flag for the UK across the pond, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Angelina Jolie and Anna Wintour.
‘It hasn’t been the easiest six months for Ekin-Su, but she’s really come into her own, as it’s business as usual for the reality star, and she’s in the best headspace she’s been in for a while.
‘And as Ekin prepares to turn 30, it’s been refreshing to see her setting more boundaries and taking back control of her narrative.’
After becoming the most popular Love Island winner across all 10 seasons of the ITV reality TV juggernaut, Ekin-Su appeared on Dancing on Ice and Celebrity Big Brother in the UK, and was named as brand ambassador for fashion brand Oh Polly.
After winning over a huge new fan base in the States though, Ekin-Su is aiming higher than ever before.
‘US Execs can’t seem to get enough of Ekin-Su’s feisty and funny persona, which makes her a dream booking for their reality formats, and she’s in talks with some big agencies about some US shows,’ the insider continued.
‘And if the opportunities are right for her, it might mean she heads back to the US later this Summer. But Ekin has told the team, whilst she knows she is reality gold back in the UK, she is keen to step into documentary territory to cover more serious narratives. In August she will be telling all in her book about her stalker hell, that is likely to shock readers.’
Before causing some of the best drama Love Island has ever seen, Ekin-Su was an aspiring actress – notoriously appearing in Turkish soap opera Kuzey Yıldızı İlk Aşk.
Two years after clinching the Love Island title , 29, she’s planning a return to her acting roots.
‘She’s really turned things around, and the skies the limit right now. Ekin-Su is still focused on her acting, and she’s been scripts to read through for potential acting roles, so things are looking up!’
