Ellie Goulding stunned during her performance at the AmfAR Gala as she took to Venice Film Festival.

The Love Me Like You Do hitmaker donned a sparkly mini dress and braids in her hair as she took to the stage at the Arsenale for the Foundation for Aids Research event

Elsewhere at the event, Ellie rocked a floor-length black dress, posing along with celebs like .

Jodie opened the gala, which also hosted a cocktail reception, live auction, a seated black-tie dinner, and performances, telling attendees: ‘I see a lot of rich people here!’ before urging people to be generous and reminding them of the severity of Aids.

‘It’s easy to forget that Aids still remains one of the world’s most serious health threats,’ she said.

The actress looked gorgeous in an eye-catching multi-coloured number, continuing her spectacular fashion throughout the festival.

Turkish-Italian director Ferzan Ozpetek was honoured for his movies bringing LGBT characters to the forefront and, during his speech, he paid tribute to AmfAR co-founder Elizabeth Taylor ‘who is looking at us from the heavens.’

Also spotted at the gala were stars including Heather Graham, Patricia Clarckson, Marisa Tomei and Rachel Brosnahan.

Charity amfAR leads the way around the world when it comes to supporting Aids research, HIV prevention, treatment education and advocacy.

This year’s Cannes gala raised more than $19million (£16million).
