Just a few weeks after taking out the title, has already manage to ‘break’ the Glitterball Trophy she won on .
Last month former Coronation Street actress Ellie, 22, and Vito, 31 of the long-running dance series.
Soon after , sharing the winning duo receive their own smaller replicas rather than the real deal.
However, it’s now been revealed that the trophy she took home has taken a bit of a beating and had to be fixed by her dad.
Ellie is said to have been left ‘devastated’ after the delicate plastic writing snapped off the replica.
But, her handy dad was able to come to the rescue.
‘Ellie was gutted that she hasn’t been able to show off her trophy after so many of her friends are desperate to hold it,’ a source has said.
‘Luckily Ellie’s dad Al is good at fixing things, so she gave it to him to put back together.
‘It is her prized possession, and she can’t wait to put it up in the house,’’ they added when speaking to.
Following her win, Ellie shared on social media that when she started on Strictly, she had been battling with her nerves.
‘I had no self-confidence or self-belief, and I was completely a glass half empty type of person,’ she explained.
‘Always finding the negatives in every situation, focusing on the lows instead of the highs, worrying and overthinking about every single thing, mostly things that were out of my control.
‘Signing up for Strictly, I knew it was going to be hard, I didn’t know how hard it would be. I knew I was going to have fun, I didn’t know just how much fun I would have.’
She went on to write that Strictly ‘changed my life’.
‘I’m now a yes person. This experience has taught me that giving your best is all you can ask of yourself, worrying about things that are out of your control isn’t going to stop them from happening,’ she explained.
The actress then said she was now ‘stronger, more resilient and more confident’.
