The phrase ‘up in the clouds’ couldn’t be more apt for ’s Angus Cloud judging from his latest Oscars interview.
The 23-year-old actor plays Fezco in the boundary-pushing HBO series – which stars and Jacob Elordi – and the season two finale saw his character witness his brother Ashtray (Javon Walton) .
While fans were distraught by the bloody scenes, Angus on the other hand seemed pretty blasé over the whole affair.
When a reporter asked him what he would say to the fans who reacted strongly to the shocking episode, he replied: ‘I’ll tell them…. that’s what’s up… you know what I’m saying,’ he replied.
Uhh… can’t say we do!
Recalling (well attempting to anyway) what went through his mind while reading the script, he added: ‘I was kinda tripping… I was like “whoa, yeah …that’s wild.”‘
The correspondent who was clutching at straws at this point asked Angus to detail how emotional he felt while reading the script, to which the star firmly said: ‘No thank you.’
Fans couldn’t help but respond to the awkward yet somewhat hilarious interaction between the pair.
‘Angus Cloud does not like small talk. That poor lady. Lol. Between him and Tiffany Haddish, she was ready for her shift to be OVER,’ joked one viewer, who referenced Tiffany calling out the same reporter for calling her outfit a costume.
‘Dude wasn’t even acting, he is Fezco in real life,’ another added.
In an interview with, Angus revealed at the beginning of the year that co-star Jacob (Nate Jacobs) cheekily taunted the star by saying his character was meant to.
‘It was one day when we were filming the pilot’, he said.
‘I think Jacob told me, he was like, “oh yeah, you didn’t know? Your character gets [imitates brains getting blown out],”‘ he added.
‘I don’t know, but apparently, because they cast me off the street, I guess the character of Fezco was [never meant to stick around].
‘I don’t even know how. I never saw that script. No one ever told me.’
Well, it looks like Angus impressed creator Sam Levinson as his character is now a series regular in the latest season.
Euphoria is available to stream on Sky Atlantic and Now TV.
