The trailers for + series Obi-Wan Kenobi already feature a cameo from Fallen Order but it seems the connections may run deeper still.

If you’re a fan and have played (which is not exactly an unlikely combination) then you will have noticed that the trailers for the new prominently feature the underwater Fortress Inquisitorius from the game.

As far as anyone knows that’s the only reference to the game in the show, but no less than Ewan McGregor seems to be implying there’s more.

Speaking on the Jimmy Kimmel talk show in the U.S., McGregor spoke about how Deborah Chow (who directed some of the best episodes of The Mandalorian) is an expert on Star Wars lore and how all Star Wars media is now supposed to be equally canon.

Which means that if something appears in a game or cartoon it has to look and act the same way in a live action movie or TV show, including everything related to its back story.

You ‘can’t have some fact in a video game that doesn’t match up to the movie’, said McGregor, according to , implying that there are things in the show more complex than just what the baddies’ HQ looks like.

The most obvious guess as to what he might be hinting at, is some kind of cameo from Fallen Order protagonist Cal Kestis and/or his supporting cast.

Kestis is played by TV actor Cameron Monaghan and it’s not much of a stretch to imagine that one of the reasons he (and Debra Wilson as Cere Junda) was chosen was so they could appear in live action as well.

A is widely expected to be announced at the Star Wars Celebration event at the end of May – just a day after the first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi debut – so there’s also the strong possibility that the show could connect to that as well.

Ever since he was introduced, there’s been intense fan speculation as to the fate of Cal Kestis, since, for obvious reasons, he isn’t mentioned in the original trilogy and there’s a good chance he dies prior to its events.
