This week a production source for the comedy series alleged that Abraham was let go from the show ahead of the third season due to two incidents.

After a second alleged incident was brought to creator and star McElhenney’s attention, Abraham was let go.
Lionsgate Television, which produces Mythic Quest, had previously issued the following statement: ‘We take allegations of misconduct seriously and investigate them thoroughly. As a matter of corporate policy, we do not comment on personnel actions.’
Abraham’s exit from the series was carried out by having his character diagnosed with a terminal illness, driving off a cliff into the Grand Canyon and having his remains launched into space.
At the time, McElhenney described his absence as a ‘bummer’.
He added that it was recognised the character was ‘beloved’ and they therefore wanted to have a ‘really fitting tribute to him’.
As well as Mythic Quest, Abraham also appeared in The Grand Budapest Hotel, Robin Hood, Homeland and How To Train Your Dragon.
He played grandfather Bert Di Grasso in The White Lotus, who was vacationing in Sicily with his son (Michael Imperioli) and grandson (Adam DiMarco), and often acted inappropriately towards women.
