WJSN Dayoung

Being a K-pop idol is difficult because nothing they do can appease bullies who hide behind anonymous handles and try to tear famous people down. Trolls have grown more bold in recent years as they continue to abuse celebrities. Although many K-pop companies have issued statements stating that they will pursue legal action against trolls, it appears that bullying K-pop idols has become fashionable.

Hwasa of Mamamoo sparked a stir when she commented about hostile trolls sticking with fans, “It seems like they would only stop until I die,” demonstrating how difficult it is for certain idols to be left alone because bullies won’t leave them alone. WJSN’s Dayoung is the latest female idol to be ridiculed for plastic surgery she may or may not have had in the first place.

WJSN Dayoung trolled for alleged plastic surgery

Fans of K-pop are paying much more attention to Cosmic Girls aka WJSN because they are currently a part of Mnet’s performance-based show “Queendom 2.” WJSN’s captain Exy and member Dayoung appeared on VLive on April 1 night to congratulate fans following the emotional first episode of the variety programme.

Fans enjoyed the duo’s antics, but trolls were focused on something else. Users began remarking on Dayoung’s facial look, pointing out that she appeared to have recently undergone plastic surgery.

Trolls also claimed that Dayoung appeared to be fresh out of surgery, which explained why her face was so disfiguring, but one toxic user even compared Dayoung to an anime character named Ao Oni, who is noted for having a malformed face. While it is true that fans of the K-pop business are not unfamiliar with plastic surgery or body modification, it is always stunning to see idols go under the knife. Others remarked that Dayoung appeared to be the same as she had in the past, and that the trolls were deluded for calling her out for no reason.

International K-pop fans claim that Knetz’s (Korean K-pop fans) double standards are to blame for stars’ mental health concerns, which eventually lead to serious life-threatening actions.

‘Did she get the nickname Ao Oni?’

The trolls who compared Dayoung to Ao Oni outraged WJSN and Dayoung fans. “Did I just witness someone call her AO ONI?” one fan wondered. “F**K YOU??????” said one fan in the initial comment. “OH NUMBER 6 IS FLYING STRAIGHT TO HELL,” one fan wrote. “No. 6 should share a photo of themselves,” an admirer suggested, “and I guarantee it’s worse than that cartoon.” “I genuinely gasped at #6????,” one fan added. I’d fight, I’m not sure.” “Comment #6 I’m under your bed,” added another enthusiast.

‘Who cares? Leave her alone.’

“I know how horrible these people are, they like to make fun of other people’s faces to criticise each other…no that’s different than crossing the line,” one fan remarked. “People claimed it was lip filler when it was actually overly drawn lipstick,” another user pointed out. “She looks exactly the same except she lost weight and went through puberty.” “Idols colour their hair once, and suddenly everyone controlling the South Korean internet is a plastic surgeon professional,” another admirer added.

“Absolutely nothing wrong with her appears except let’s take a screenshot photo of someone plainly eating and speaking and claim they seem different,” one fan commented. “Who cares?” one fan wondered. “Don’t bother her.” “Leave the kid alone,” added another supporter. She has an auto-immune condition and doesn’t care about your snide remarks.” “Idk what they talkin about she looks soooooooooooo gorgeous to me,” another fan said. “But wjsn, especially Dayoung, is usually busy with individual hobbies tho, not to mention they regularly upload photos through pm, I don’t think there’s time for her to get major plastic surgery,” another fan added. In 2019, she simply admitted to doing lip filler, which is cool really.”
