Stephen Baldwin has sparked concern for and wife as he pleaded for ‘prayers’ for the couple.
The Usual Suspects actor, 57, is dad to model Hailey, 27, who married pop royalty Justin, 29, five years ago.
Justin and Hailey have spoken openly about the at the start of their marriage as Justin struggled with issues , and both , but have remained committed to each other and shared their lives with fans through documentary Seasons.
On February 26, Christian influencer and All Things Possible Ministries founder Victor Marx, who is close to the Baldwins, shared a post pleading: ‘Christians, please when you think of Justin and Hailey, take a moment to offer a little prayer for them to have wisdom, protection, and to draw close to the Lord.’
Stephen then shared the post to his story, which has since disappeared according to media reports from E! News and Page Six.
While there are little details as to why Justin and Hailey seemingly need prayers, Victor wrote in a caption alongside the post that there are ‘special challenges that folks in high visibility positions face … they often face spiritual warfare that … seeks to ship-wreck their faith, marriage and life in general.’
The post has sparked concern for the famous couple among fans, with speculation and support flying on social media, including baseless speculation about their marriage and health.
X user Irene Goldblatt shared her support and said ‘hope they’re OK,’ while fan @glazedhails hit out at people speculating, saying ‘nothing about Justin and Hailey is giving problems in their marriage, and if there were, we would be the last to know.’
Both Justin and Hailey have previously suffered from health issues, with the model last year rushed to hospital after she .
Speaking about the frightening ordeal – which was caused by a blood clot in her brain – Hailey has admitted she has since struggled with ‘a little PTSD’ (post-traumatic stress disorder).
Following her mini stroke – known in medical terms as a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) – Hailey underwent surgery to fix a hole in her heart a month later.
Justin, meanwhile, was forced to cancel part of his Justice world tour after being , a facial paralysis.
He has also opened up about difficulties in his and Hailey’s marriage in its early days, revealing in 2022 that when he ‘first got married, I hit a little bit of an emotional breakdown because I thought marriage was going to fix all my problems and it didn’t.’
The singer went on to tell Apple Music’s Ebro Darden () that his faith helped him through.
In 2021, Hailey spoke about the ‘extremely difficult’ period in their marriage as she helped her new husband deal with sobriety.
Speaking on the In Good Faith podcast, Hailey admitted she often had to call her mother as she felt she was ‘crumbling’ and in the head space where ‘the only person you want to talk to is your mum’.
But Hailey was ‘all in it’ and knew she could not walk away from the marriage, telling the podcast: ‘I knew for a fact that I loved this person for a very long time and now would not be the time to give up on him.
‘I just wouldn’t do that to him. Imagine abandoning somebody in the middle of the worst time of their life … I’m just not that type of person.’
