Fern Britton breaks social media silence after Phillip Schofield’s emotional interviews

Former host has taken to in the wake of her former co-host ’s emotional tell-all interviews.

This week Schofield, 61, spoke publicly for the first time since he resigned from his role on ’s long-running breakfast programme after admitting to anwith a younger colleague.

Sharing that he was due to fears he may be ‘spat’ on, opened up aboutand said that he was devastated to realise he , the interviews sparked a huge reaction.

But despite this, when it came to sharing her thoughts online, Fern, 65, decided to ignore what has been happening with her former colleague completely.

Instead, she posted about what she thought of the .

‘Just watched the final Ted Lasso with cuppa in bed . Tears rolling down my face but such a smile in my heart. What a show what a cast what a story ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,’ she posted on Twitter.

While Fern has stayed quiet for now, back when rumours first started swirling of a fallout between Schofield and Holly Willoughby, 42, some subtle shade appeared to be thrown.

Posting that she had been, who presented This Morning on Fridays for 15 years before leaving the show in 2021, Fern said they had been ‘shooting the breeze’.

Working with Schofield from 2002 until 2009, there’s been between the pair since Fern left This Morning in 2009.

In the years since Fern said she ‘walked away and resigned’ after being ‘treated pretty poorly’, while her former co-presenter admitted in his 2020 memoir that when she announced her exit he was ‘heartbroken’ and revealed their friendship had also ‘gone sour’.
