fans completely worship the musician, and in case it wasn’t already obvious why, Thursday night made everything clear.
Queen Bey descended on once again last night as she continues stunning audiences withthis week.
Metro.co.uk got to attend the jaw-dropping show as a guest of and – and we already know we’ll be talking about it for weeks.
If you were there, you’ll know exactly what the chaos was like. If not – well, read on.
Five moments from Beyonce in London that turned the crowd utterly feral
Queen Bey arriving on stage
This is a given, sure, but the absolute insanity of the audience when the giant screen changed to blue skies and an image of Beyonce slowly appeared piece by piece had an estimated 40,000 people screaming their hearts out.
When Queen Bey herself rose up from a trap door on stage, surrounded by smoke and steam, those 40,000 people became even more feral.
And when the absolute icon that is Beyonce spoke one single word: ‘London’ – it was like the end of the world.
The fact Beyonce can have that much of a reaction with just one word proves beyond doubt that she’s got a hold on her fans in a way that’s increasingly rare. Icon isn’t even the word.
Teasing Sweet Dreams in Alien Superstar
This concert was absolutely one for the die-hards, and not all of Beyonce’s big hits were played.
But some were teased – just like when the bassline from Sweet Dreams began in the middle of the crowd already jumping around to Alien Superstar.
If you’re looking for the definition of a crowd going feral, 40,000 people thinking Bey was about to launch into Sweet Dreams is basically the dictionary definition.
Honestly, she probably didn’t play some of her biggest hits out of concern for the crowd – if Single Ladies made an appearance, people would have died.
Break My Soul – enough said
Break My Soul was a major hit last summer and it showed in the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium on Thursday night.
The whole place went absolutely insane as the opening notes to Break My Soul blasted into the stadium, mixed with the sound of an estimated 40,000 people right that second considering quitting their jobs.
There was not a single person in that stadium who wasn’t singing along to that – and dancing, and cheering, and potentially crying. Feral.
THAT OUTFIT
You already know the outfit I mean.
Queen Bey did multiple wardrobe changes on Thursday night, each outfit somehow even mroe dazzling than the last.
But the standout one for many was the one that appeared as though she was totally nude, but for a black gloves hand covering her modesty – top and bottom.
There’s not many people who could pull off an outfit like that, but Beyonce is, naturally, one of them.
And from the sheer noise of the crowd as she revealed the jaw-dropping fit, the absolutely feral crowd thought so too.
Blue Ivy coming on stage
Even though we knew it was a possibility, even though probably everyone in that audience had heard news stories about it, no one was really prepared for when it happened.
Beyonce and Jay-Z obviously have some incredible talent, and it’s beyond a doubt been passed to their 11-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy.
The eldest Knowles-Carter arrived on stage to absolute mania from the crowd – mania that only got more, well, manic, as she showed off her utterly expert dance moves along with Bey’s professional dancers.
And after showcasing her absolutely stellar dance moves, Blue and Bey fist-bumped on stage. Casual.
Honourable mentions
Let’s be clear, the crowd didn’t just go feral at five points of the night.
It was a Beyonce concert, so naturally we were losing our minds essentially from start to finish.
Other magic moments include Beyonce starting Love On Top, but basically not needing to sing it at all because the crowd knew every single word, and at one point she basically just let us get on with it.
Then there was Love On Top moving straight into Crazy In Love, which as you can imagine was not healthy for the people who were already completely manic.
We also had Beyonce being carried around the stadium in a glittering outfit, on top of a glittering horse, just as things were about to come to an end.
And as if that couldn’t have gotten any cooler, the star wished everyone a happy Pride – with Thursday’s concert landing on the first day of Pride month.
What. A. Legend.
