season two trailer has been released, and viewers have been given a glimpse of appearing as ’s on-screen mum for the first time.

The 63-year-old’s role has finally been revealed as Lisa, the mother of Cassie Bowden.

Sharon’s reveal comes near the end of the two-and-a-half minute clip, as Cassie arrives at the doorstep of her mum’s house with brother Davey (TR Knight).

However, relations appear strained between mother and daughter as Lisa’s grin quickly vanishes when she sees Cassie.

Season two follows Cassie’s return after she previously vowed to stop drinking – while also taking up a side hustle working for the CIA.

You know, as you do.

She is still sober, has a new boyfriend, is living in LA and even has throw pillows, a sign that your life is bang in order.

Picking up after events in season one, the new instalment sees Cassie trying to piece her life back together.

However, when an overseas assignment leads to her witnessing a murder, things start to spiral again.

The character also appears to suffer an identity crisis as, at one point, she is confronted with three clones of herself.

Cassie alludes to the breakdown earlier in the trailer, where she sees a woman hooking up with a man in another building with a tattoo on his neck.

Speaking to her friends, she says: ‘There are a lot of weird things going on around me. I’m starting to think that someone is pretending to be me!’

In response, her best friend Annie (Zoysia Mamet) says: ‘It sounds like someone’s trying to frame you.’

Things continue to get more surreal when Cassie is confronted by herself dressed in a sequinned cocktail dress, as another version of herself says: ‘What’d you think, you were gonna find some hot dead guy in here again?’

No, us neither.

A third version of herself appears dressed in a black dress, described as a ‘black hole of joy’.

Right…

Lastly, another clone sits by the bar in a beautiful chic dress, as Cassie questions: ‘Who the hell are you?’

In response the clone, who flashes an impressive engagement ring, says: ‘I’m you silly! If you made better choices.’

Ouch, there’s a bit of food for thought…

Other returning cast include Rosie Perez’s Megan, Deniz Akdeniz as Max, and Griffin Matthews’ as Shane, a fellow agent and one of Cassie’s best flight attendant friends.

The first two episodes of the Flight Attendant Season 2 will premiere on HBO Max Thursday, April 21.
