has shared a behind-the-scenes insight on her working relationship with Sharon Stone on season 2, revealing she was slapped for real in an entirely improvised moment.
In the of the comedy-thriller, Kaley, 36, will be joined in the cast by several newcomers, including Sharon, 64, who plays her mother.
Picking up where the first season left off, Cassie Bowden (Kaley) is continuing to work as a flight attendant while also offering a helping hand to the CIA.
In one episode, Cassie’s mum, Lisa Bowden (Sharon) smacks her daughter across the face, much to her shock – and in a new interview, actor revealed her reaction was utterly genuine.
During an interview with , Kaley brought up the slap from episode six of the second season, before offering some ‘fun’ behind-the-scenes goss on how it went down.
‘That slap? Not written in the script. That was a Sharon Stone speciality!’ she exclaimed. ‘Came out of nowhere, that was a true reaction. I was in shock, which is exactly what we used.’
Kaley explained that afterwards, Sharon rushed up to her to tell her that she loves her and to ask if she was ok.
‘I’m like, “Yes Sharon Stone, you may do whatever you want to.” That was a wild experience, , and it ended up being actually kind of perfect for the scene.’
Earlier this week, Kaley for The Flight Attendant, photographed on the red carpet with her sister, Briana Cuoco, who portrays obsessive assistant Cecilia in the show.
In a new interview, Kaley opened up about her personal life, having announced her divorce from equestrian Karl Cook in 2021 after three years of marriage.
Speaking to Glamour, she having previously been married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting from 2013 to 2016.
‘I will never get married again. I would love to have a long-lasting relationship or a partnership. But I will never get married again. Absolutely not,’ she said.
‘I believe in love because I’ve had incredible relationships. I know that they’re out there. I like being someone’s partner and having that companionship.’
The Flight Attendant season 2 premieres on April 21 on HBO Max in the UK and on May 26 on Sky Max and NOW in the UK.
