had surgery just days ago, but they aren’t letting that stop them from walking the red carpet.
The singer, 27, last hit the carpet at the prestigious ceremony in 2017, a mere three days after their first endometriosis surgery, posing up a storm all while having stitches in.
As coincidence would have it, the Closer hitmaker had surgery three days prior to the 2022 Grammys.
They did not disclose what surgery they had, but implied it related to their ongoing struggles with endometriosis – a long-term condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb starts to grow in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes.
However, they still plan on attending the event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Vegas and having a blast, much to the joy and amazement of fans.
Taking to Instagram to share an update on their situation, Halsey shared a photo of themselves in hospital attire and a surgical mask.
They wrote: ‘I walked the carpet with my stitches still in ? As luck would have it, I’m attending tomorrow for the first time in years and I had surgery again (you guessed it) 3 days ago.’
Halsey continued: ‘Only posting this to say, if you see me be gentle lol I’m fragile. Fragile but excited :) ?.’
Fans showered their fave singer in love and support, saying they are ‘so strong.’
‘Stay strong baby?? and hope everything goes well,’ one commented.
Another wrote: ‘Literally such a hard-working artist. Can’t wait to watch the Grammys ???.’
The Without Me artist – who gave birth to son Ender in July 2021 – previously claimed they were treated ‘like a teen mum’ during their pregnancy and found it difficult being pregnant while living being in the public eye.
Halsey – who shares Ender with screenwriter Alev Aydin – shared: ‘I’m 26, and I tried very hard for this pregnancy and it was like, I’m financially independent, I’m pretty far along in my career, it feels like the right time for me to do it. And I got treated like a teen mum a lot of the times.
‘Where people were like, “Oh my God, you’re so young, and you have so much to do in your career, and you’re not married and you’re this,” and it triggered all of these feelings of shame from when I was younger.’
They continued: ‘It triggered a lot of old feelings of shame in me where I was like, “How can you have an opinion, that kind of opinion on me making this decision?”‘
It’s a big night for the You Should Be Sad singer, as they are nominated for one award.
Halsey is nominated for best alternative music album for If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power and will go up against Fleet Foxes, Japanese Breakfast, Arlo Parks and St Vincent.
Other big names up for gongs tonight include Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, and teen sensation Olivia Rodrigo, who is up for a mega seven awards.
Olivia will also take to the stage for one of many performances, with the likes of Silk Sonic, Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Lil Nas X, John Legend and more performing as well.
Foo Fighters were set to appear too, but after the death of band member Taylor Hawkins.
The Grammys airs this Sunday.
