has revealed that it wasn’t a case of ‘hot honeymoon’ vibes for her as she headed straight to bed for a nap, following her wedding.
The 37-year-old Slumdog Millionaire actress married photographer Cory Tran in a low-key ceremony in 2020, in the presence of just two witnesses at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
She was not keen on the usual pomp and pageantry because she was more focused on ‘building a life together’, rather than the fuss over one day.
The big screen star told Marie Claire: ‘We’re not wedding people… we [got married] and then we went home and had a nap.
‘For our brains and our souls and our bodies, it was just perfect. The focus was on building a life together, not just planning a wedding.’
The pair, who are parents to son Rumi-Ray, eight-months, now split their time between Cory’s home town of Austin, Texas, and Los Angeles.

The star also spoke about being a mum, which she finds both ‘exhilarating and exhausting’, adding that, ‘nothing [about parenting] is constant.’
Frieda rose to fame after starring as Latika in British director Danny Boyle’s hit film Slumdog Millionaire.
Although she said filming was a ‘special’ time, the aftermath was ‘not very pleasant’.
‘It was such a frenzy – it was almost overwhelming,’ she said. ‘Hard to distinguish between what was real and what wasn’t.
‘My expectation was that every film I did after should do as well as Slumdog Millionaire. But it was unique.’
