GB News hit by staggering new claims alleging man at channel accused of rape

Shocking new claims allege five men currently working at have faced past allegations of ‘sexual impropriety’.

One man is said to have been previously accused of rape.

According to , two of the unnamed men stand accused of groping offences.

Three men are said to have lost roles in other media companies over the allegations.

Also mentioned in the bombshell new article is GB News CEO Angelos Frangopoulos, who was named in a sexual harassment complaint last year.

It’s claimed Frangopoulos is protected by a non-disclosure agreement and that the complaint – the details of which were not specified – led to a female member of staff leaving GB News with a five-figure settlement.

Byline Times reports that none of the five men have been charged and it’s ‘unclear’ whether the trio of men who previously lost jobs were asked by the channel about the circumstances surrounding their departure.

The outlet claims to have spoken to over 15 people with ‘knowledge of the allegations against the five men’.

The unnamed man at the centre of the most serious allegations is said to have been accused of raping a junior female colleague at another media organisation.

Allegedly, the incident took place in a hotel room in 2021 following after-work drinks.

It’s claimed the woman ‘required extensive external support’ and ultimately left her job.

Byline Times says the matter was reported to senior managers at the company however a HR investigation was cut short because the complainant couldn’t make a statement to police for medical reasons.

A source told the outlet: ‘The allegation was credible and detailed and sufficiently serious for the man involved to leave his job. It had a very big impact on the woman in question and her mental health suffered significantly afterwards and she was unable to continue in her role either.

‘The details of the allegation were known to people within GB News when the man was given a new job there. His arrival upset a lot of people.

‘Some said they would quit if they had to work with him and he ended up being placed into a role where they would not have to share a studio space.’
