Gemma Collins has revealed she had to undergo emergency wisdom teeth removal this week after being left in excruciating pain.
The former Towie star, 41, took to her Instagram story to reveal she had undergone surgery, telling her followers: ‘Hey guys, you couldn’t write it!
‘It never runs smooth with me – sorry if I’m talking funny. I’ve been getting pain in my ear and I’ve been getting pain in my teeth and I needed wisdom teeth removal.’
Gemma told her fans that she had paid for all her treatment herself, assuring them that none of it was free, but adding that she was grateful that her dentist was able to get her out of the pain she had been in.
She explained: ‘I’ve had a tooth removed, I’m going on tour next week and I just thought thank god it’s happened this week and the pain didn’t continue into next week.’
Gemma also gave her followers a glimpse at the massive tooth which had been removed during the surgery, as well as her dentist.
She revealed: ‘Guys, this man is God for me today. I have been in so much pain. As you know I’m going on tour next week… my life never runs smoothly, there’s always a drama.
‘I had to have my wisdom tooth out. It was painless, it was effortless and he put me at ease.’
It comes as Gemma is set to start rehearsals for her role as Mama Morton in Chicago, a casting which sparked mixed reactions.
Gemma will be making her stage debut this summer and taking over from Sinitta, butinstead of a trained theatre performer, particularly as the industry was among the hardest-hit by the pandemic.
However, producer David Ian said the crew were ‘completely stunned’ by The GC’s audition and promised ‘audiences across the country are in for a treat.’
